Lynn, Massachusetts
The
City of Lynn is located on the North Shore of Massachusetts 7
miles north of Boston. One of the oldest communities in America,
Lynn boasts a beautiful coastline, great municipal woods and a
strong history of commerce and industry. Several major manufacturers, including
General Electric, call the City of Lynn home. Many small
businesses, retail stores, banks, professional companies and more
can be found throughout the city along with attractive residential
areas. Lynn is known as "The City of Firsts".

Lynn
is situated in the Greater Boston Area, which has excellent rail,
air, and highway facilities. The major highways adjacent to Lynn are
State Route 128, Interstate Route 95, and U.S. Route 1. The
principal highways that run through Lynn are Routes 1A, 107, 129,
and 129A. Lynn is also served by the Massachusetts Bay
Transportation Authority bus line and by a commuter rail service to
North Station in Boston. The rail also has a 965-space parking
garage on Market Street in Lynn.

is home to the second largest municipal park in the United States
- Lynn Woods, which boasts 2,100 acres available for hiking,
biking, and cross-country skiing. Gannon Gold Course is an 18-hole
public course located next to Lynn Woods. Lynnway Marina is
available for motor and non-motor boating. Heritage State Park at
the marina has many city festivals and events. There are also many
historical sites, as well as a two-mile stretch of open beach
